IV Conscious Sedation Dentistry in Edmonton
We offer Intravenous conscious sedation for patients with extreme dental anxiety, and for those who require extensive or lengthy dental treatments.
Intravenous conscious sedation is a moderate type of sedation. It is administered via direct injection into the bloodstream, which means the effects are immediate.
Although IV conscious sedation creates a sense of relaxation and wellbeing, you will still be awake, aware, and able to communicate with your dentist throughout your dental procedure.
You may feel groggy and sleepy when the IV sedatives are withdrawn, so you must bring a designated driver for the drive home.
